What is Google’s Sandbox? And How to Top it?

Before we go further to know the tips on how to come out of Google’s sandbox, there is a need to know whether Google sandbox is a reality or a myth. To define Sandbox, SEO services in San Diego say that it is a filter that Google places on newly created domains to stop them from ranking higher. But why would Google do that?

Many SEO experts believe that Google always wants to serve its users with the best experience. And to achieve that it makes sure that they are served with the best information there is. Hence it promotes old and authoritative domains over the new ones in its rankings.
But does that mean that Google really “suppresses” new websites for a period that lasts from 4 months to a year?

To this, many SEO practitioners have responded in more or less similar ways, though their choice of words was different. Many believe that there is a filter that filters out new domains, but the term “Sandbox” might not be a reality though. Even Google has never officially confirmed the presence of any such term in its working methodology.

But why this period of 4 months? To this, San Diego SEO company respond that this is a kind of “Prove yourself period”. Domains have first to gain Google’s trust, and have to be tested on quality guidelines before the search engine giant gives them their chance.

So it is safe to say now that the presence of Google sandbox is only logical, although the name might be a made-up one.

But if there is a sandbox, then are there any ways to make sure that one gets out of it? SEO services in Virginia say that there are many. Some of them are:
  • Start writing quality content from day one. Google always seems to be too serious when it comes to the content’s quality. So the best thing to do is to first get your skeleton website live and then start putting your quality content on it.
  • Getting backlinks from trusted domains can prove to be of help too.
  • Buying an expired domain, or a domain that is up for sale can also ensure that you are not stuck in Google’s 4 months testing period.
  • Focus on social media platforms. A wider user base on social media platforms can ensure that you start receiving a good amount of traffic as soon as you start with your website.
  • Joining communities or forums can also help you promote your website. Just post your website’s link with a detailed and insightful answer on relevant debates and discussions. And people will be more than interested to visit your website if they find your answers useful.

The Bottom Line

Some say that Sandbox is a myth. While some agree to the effects but deny the existence of such a typical name. But what all agree to is that Google loves content. That’s why SEO services advise blogging only what proves to be of value for readers. Otherwise, it won’t take long for Google to know that you are just another platform designed to kill the time of its users.
